Volunteer with the Austin Browncoats
The Austin Browncoats host charitable functions all year long, ranging from convention booths to large-scale shindigs. While the majority of our events take place in the State of Texas, we also host booths at large conventions, such as Dragon*Con in Atlanta, and are always looking for additional support in a variety of roles. As soon as we've created our list of required volunteer roles, we will post them on our website, as well as our forum and Yahoo!Group. Always feel free to email us if you're interested in a volunteer opportunity.
For volunteers with leadership roles, we have a "Base of Operations" at our BaseCamp, which will keep you up-to-date and in contact with everyone on your team. Volunteers are responsible for purchasing tickets to our charitable events unless otherwise stated.
Heard about our knit-a-thon at Dragon*Con 2008? Do you knit and want to help knit Jayne hats for charity? Check out our Call for Knitters. Even if you can't knit, there are ways you can help out.
Please note, while we are unable to monetarily compensate our volunteers for their work, we can offer you volunteer hours for your work with our charity.
Austin Browncoats needs your help in identifying outstanding volunteers. We recognize volunteers every quarter in our Volunteer Spotlight. Click HERE to nominate a volunteer.
