It's that time of the year again! We're gearing up for Can't Stop The Serenity (CSTS) and have some great news! The Austin events have grown so much in these past three years, that we're growing our event to include San Antonio. For 2009, we'll have a total of 5 screenings of Serenity to support Equality Now and Kids Need To Read. With the help of Kids Need To Read, we'll be able to support our local shelters and underprivileged schools and libraries by donating books to their children's programs.
We're so excited to watch as CSTS continues to grow and expand and make more money for charities we all love. I'm calling on you to support us once again to help us do good works. I know this is a year of economic crisis. It's affecting all of us, but if we work together and do what we can, this year's events will be a success! In 2008, you helped Austin raise near $11,000 for Equality Now. Globally, we made over $100,000! We want to do even better in 2009. We want to help Equality Now and Kids Need To Read when they need it most - during a time of financial struggle for all of us.
Like previous years, we're asking for donations of items, gift certificates or monetary donations to support our efforts. All items and gift cards will either be raffled or auctioned at our events. We'll include you in all of our press, including any television or radio spots we secure this year. We'll also add you to our website and program. You can also send down some business cards that we can include in our goodie bags we give away every year. All donations are tax deductible and upon request, we will send you a receipt for your donation. All money made goes to our charities. We don't use any of our donated money to pay out for costs of our events.
As always, I appreciate any and all support you can offer. Can't Stop The Serenity, Equality Now and Kids Need To Read are all very close to my heart. I can't wait until June 28th and July 12th to get together and make money for charity!

All-Con Volunteers Needed

Austin Browncoats will be at All-Con (March 13-15) again this year and we will have a Fan Table and a Dealer's Table.
