No problems then. I can either try and obtain the discs from a store (hit and miss at the best of times, even worse at this time of year), or I can just send you mine (mint - near mint condition) and try and replace them later.

When they did show it on TV here, they managed to confuse people by showing it anywhere between 1 and 3 times a week, usually on different days each time. To make matters more confusing, this was during season three, so for a few weeks it seemed like they were showing two different seasons at the same time (not wanting to spoil, but if you've seen the season, you'll understand why).

I saw a bunch of people talking about this series as well and thought it might be worth watching.  I watched the first episode and was completely turned off.

Is the first episode really bad?  Is it a campy series or something?  The whole thing just seemed ridiculously goofy and really prevented me from feeling immersed in their world.  Just curious if I didn't give it enough time to get to the good stuff or if the show just isn't for me.

I loved this show from the start but the beggining is not the show at its' best. Farscape really gets in to stride at the end of season 1 so if you can make it through the first few episodes you might develop a different attitude.

But at the same point it is a little campy but I think it has to be. It has an alien with tentacles, it had to have some camp.

But I think this is one show that does actually get better as the series wears on.

I agree. They did really get into their stride after the series was underway.

Some people I've talked to did think it was a little goofy...but then again most of the aliens were from Jim Henson's creature shop soooo...I really think it worked for the show.

Geeez now I'm really wanting to go watch it again.  *fidgets*

Some people I've talked to did think it was a little goofy...

But the goofyness was good. What other shows would get away with episodes like 'Revenging Angel' or 'Won't Get Fooled Again'?

Heh, I just went back and watched that one again.

Favourite supporting character? I'd say it's a toss-up between 1812 and Harvey.

I don't know...I remember a fart joke or something like that.  I think that was one of the big deal breakers.  Reminded me too much of Lucas thinking alien farts are funny too.

I think I'll just leave this series be.

Fair enough. Everyone has their own tastes.
