I think the dog startled her more than anything.  She didn't realize they came in that powerful of sizes  ;)

As for watching the show..??  We aren't terribly strict about that.  To me, Firefly is not too bad for kids.  (There are some parts like say the torture parts and River's flashbacks that we don't let them see.) But I think there is a lot worse out there that IS aimed at kids.  I don't think I'll let them watch Serenity for awhile.  It's a bit heavy for the wee ones.  But at least they'll grow up knowing Firefly is the best show ever right?   :D
And what 2 year old knows the lyrics to Ballad of Serenity...
