Garage sale surfers do that because they know they can get the best junk if they wake up early enough (early bird get's the worm).

Normally I'd laugh at the idea of getting up before the crack of NOON  :D, to help sale stuff to a bunch of people. But I always like challenging myself. So I'll think about lending a hand.

Anything you'd like to donate is cool. Please let me know if you need pick up and/or storage.  :D

Sweet!  I agree that early = sucky but hey it's for charity, right?  Also, we WILL be needing people to come at noon to haul away anything that doesn't sell so even if you can't come for an early shift you're wecome to come on down whenever you can make it.  I'll be closing the sale right around noon.

We will probably have stuff like knick knacks and books and stuff.  We are still working on cleaning out the garage, so I can't confirm anything just yet.

I would assume most of our stuff would be in the smallish range, and I can load down the station wagon pretty well.  I'll let you know if I need anything in the way of transpo or storage, thanks!

Garage Sale - Need Stuff
« Reply #9 on: March 10, 2008, 05:16:27 PM »
Greetings Browncoats!

The Austin Browncoats garage sale is coming up and we
need stuff!  Anything from big ticket items like
furniture to books, CDs, jewelry - whatever you've got
we'll take it!

AND to make it easier on you we'll even pick it up!
You can leave stuff on your porch, by your front door
- whatever, clearly marked as "For ABC" and we'll come
get it!

Pick up dates are as follows:
3/16
3/23
3/30
between noon and 5pm.

Please email me which date you'd like your stuff
picked up, your address, email and phone number at
sheena at austinbrowncoats.com.  I'll email you a
confirmation the night before.

If you'd like to volunteer to be a pick up person let
me know as well.  :D

Thanks all!
Sheena Harden, Co-Vice Chair
Austin Browncoats

I'm not sure what sort of stuff I could donate - I seriously streamlined when I had to leave Charlotte.

I was thinkin' of possibly donatin' a few extra autographs that I don't care to display, but after a brainstorm at dinner last night, I'm thinkin' eBay may be a better route for that sort of thing.

So, that leaves time.  I have the Durango, and could probably help on the collection days, dependin' on my work schedule.

I've got some bites from friends on donating stuff already!

This is a great chance for everyone to get rid of junk and help the cause at the same time!

Yeah I'll e-mail folks I know - see if they have anything to get rid of.  I still have those electronic items I told you about Sheena that I'm donating to the cause.

Unfortunately, I have to be out of town that weekend so I won't be able to help.

But, I'm going to start scouring the countryside for people with stuff.
