I like The Message. It makes me cry. It's got the Jayne hat. It's got good Book, but not so much of The Good Book.

Out of Gas is my favorite too. Though Disc 3 is the best damned disc overall. I love most all those... And Jaynestown... and Our Mrs. Reynolds. I think that covers my faves.

I think I'd go with Our Mrs. Reynolds.  It's just so funny the whole way through.

Out of Gas and Objects in Space round out the top 3.

I also have the greatest preference for "out of gas." Mostly due to the high level of character development and the background information. I must say that "Objects in Space" is close. Jubal Early is the best villain of the series.

the ones I seem to watch the most often are Objects in Space, Out of Gas, Jaynestown and Trash. The first sums up post-modernism so very well and it is just beautiful to watch - the second is just heart warming and heart wrenching all at once - the third has probably my favorite scene (at the statue) and shows a deeper side to Jayne - and as for the latter I am a sucker for naked Mal and Inara getting one over on YoSafBridge :)

My personal favorite episode is Shindig. It's shiny.

I mean, Mal making an ass of himself, a pretty dress with ruffles, all the gentlemen at the ball hanging out with Kaylee and talking about ships...

Plus an awesome sword duel with a jackass getting blacklisted.


Well, and also, Jubal Early was really very awesome, and it was right about that episode that I really felt like River was starting to blossom as a character.

"Out of Gas" is my favorite.  The score for that episode was just beautiful (of course so was the one for "The Message"... what am I saying?  They were all splendid!).  However, like someone else said, I very much enjoyed the flashbacks in "Out of Gas."

Oh I love them all so much...

I really love Out of Gas, the use of color in that episode is sooo incredible.  (Hey, I'm a lighting designer  :D )
But I love seeing where Mal gets his family.

But I love the comedy too so Jaynestown and Our Mrs. Reynolds are also fantastic. 

Wait , but I love River's development in Objects in Space..  ;)  Ahhh- all so good.
