Which job would you want?
« on: January 25, 2008, 12:05:36 PM »
So I was thinking.... if I were on the crew of a firefly class mid-bulk transport, which role/job would I want?

I definitely wouldn't want to be the Capitan or Mechanic, but maybe I'd make a good pilot (if I could stay in the ship when the shooting started.) ;)

What other types of jobs would the ship require/could support that aren't on the show?

Is the  job you'd like (for me- public relations) different from the one you'd actually be good at? Is there a job you'd hate to have?

I'm just curious.

Boy-whore.

Why am I not surprised?  ;P

I would prefer being Captain.  I'd deal with Second-in-Command, but would plan on fragging my Captain so I can take his spot.

Looks like someone watched the Mirror Universe episode of Star Trek one time too many.

Boy-whore.

Like I said, leave the real work to those who know how...

Rita,

You'd be *perfect* as "public relations", although technically that's Jayne's job...

But the more I think about it, the more I think that a ship like that would definately need someone to work the biz and keep jobs coming in.  That would be right up your alley, I conjure.

As for me, I can't help but think there'd be more technical chores onboard than making the spinny thing go round in the engine compartment (Kaylee being a savant and all - that's covered).  I mean, who wires up the comm-links and fixes the other whatsits when they go bust?

I think we could have a great crew from this bunch! Good food. Everything running smoothly.

Wait a minute, that sounds boring! We need people to start some stuff!

Of course.  So, Tom, are we fighting over who is captain?  :)
