I got a message from ArtCat, the fearless leader of the Houston Browncoats:
"Beth,
Hope things are going well for the Austin crew, I wanted to give you and your crew a heads up, our monthly meetup location, Star Pizza, offered us the run of the entire upstairs eating area for our February meetup, including the big screen tv. This is looking to be a rather large shindig (management is hopeful that 40 of us appear, an easy enough number for us since we often exceed that, but I'm hoping for closer to 60 + folks). If you wanted a chance to catch the Houston crew en masse to discuss the browncoat ball (which they are very excited about), this is the shindig to catch them at, I have word that folks from ApolloCon (a browncoat run scifi/ fiction/ fantasy con), and the local costuming club (also browncoats), will be joining us for the shindig.

At January's Star Pizza Shindig, the manager (James) decided that the browncoats are a blast, and offerred to shut down the upstairs for our use for the February Shindig, this includes the use of the bigscreen tv... and both rooms!!! here is the deal though, James the manager is hoping we can get at least 40 browncoats up there to make it worth while.

For all the new folks who have not gotten to attend we can be found upstairs (we are the loud, happy, eclectic bunch, ranging in age from 17 to 60+) usually in the smaller of the two rooms. We are friendly don't bite, and the food is good and well the waitstaff adores us... or at least is amused by us. Did I mention upstairs looks like a scene out of firefly?
For those who have never made it come on out, our waittress (Cheri) is wonderful and the food is yummy."
