Hiking this Saturday
« on: July 09, 2009, 12:09:04 PM »
There is a hiking meetup, but we could hike here at our own pace and time if we'd like...or if someone has a good hiking suggestion, I'm open for that as well.  I'd like to get in a good hour to an hour and a half walk or hike this Saturday.

From the Meetup:
When: Jul 11th Sat 8:30 AM
Location:
Spicewood Valley Trail
9000 Middleble Rd
Austin, TX 78750

http://hiking.meetup.com/590/venue/904603/?eventId=10817894&popup=true

Who’s coming?
5 Yes / 4 Maybe
(RSVP deadline: July 11, 2009 7:00 AM)

Who's organizing?
Lisa Wilson

We will start earlier to beat the heat and hike for about 1 1/2 hours. I do not remember any watering holes here so if you are bringing your dog, please bring plenty of water.

Directions:From Hwy 183 in NW Austin, head south on Spicewood Springs Rd, left if your coming North, right if you are coming South. Travel approx. 2 miles to Scottland Wells Drive, turn right. Travel another mile and turn right on Middlebie Dr. There is a park at the end of the road. We'll meet in the parking lot.

I'm affraid I won't be able to make this one.  I'd definately like to try and do longer hikes/walks on Saturdays though if folks are interested in doing that next Saturday.

Sorry for the last minute notice.

I'm gonna stay in and watch Angel on TNT then - :)  I have to mow the lawn anyway - so I can do that before it gets too hot.
